Whoever wins Iowa needs to share our values, be ready to serve as commander-in-chief, and build a diverse coalition to win in November. That’s why I’m supporting Joe Biden.
I served as First Lady Michelle Obama’s White House chief of staff, and I remember how impressed I was by Joe and Jill Biden and their team. They always put important decision through a lens of values, fairness, and equity — and that’s critical for our country right now.
I’m also a mom with kids who want to join the military. And when I look around at what’s happening in the world, I want to know that our next commander-in-chief knows what they’re doing – that they have the experience and the ability to lead, starting on day one. Only Joe has logged a thousand hours in the Situation Room and the Oval Office, helping make the hardest, loneliest decisions of a presidency. I have confidence in him.
And finally, I’m a Democrat who wants to win. Joe has the broadest, most diverse coalition. He is the only one who leads Trump in key battleground states. He is our best bet to win not only his own race but help like minded leaders to hang onto their seats and our Democratic House majority, which means he can actually deliver on the promises he’s making.
I hope you will join me in supporting Joe Biden on February 3.
