Congrats on returning Tom Harkin to the Senate! Though Election Day has passed, Iowa has the chance to help send more Democrats to the Senate!
With the Georgia Senate race headed toward a run-off election and the Alaska Senate race amid a protracted vote count, both Jim Martin and Mark Begich need your continued support!
Please, please, please make a contribution to them via the Expand the Map! ActBlue page this weekend!
Democrat | Current | Goal | Difference |
Jim Martin | $3,385 | $4,000 | $615 |
Mark Begich | $5,553 | $6,000 | $447 |
Please, please, please contribute this weekend! It will give President-elect Obama a stronger Democratic majority with which to pass his Democratic agenda.

thanks for the cross-post
I plan to contribute to Martin’s campaign this month, because I’m sure that will be an expensive race.
What does Begich need money for at this point? Doesn’t he have enough for a legal team to handle a recount if it happens?

Republicans preparing
The NRSC is financially preparing for a protracted recount (and maybe a protracted legal battle – and who knows what kind of dirty tricks squad…) so we should do all we can to make sure Begich is prepared.

A big blogger fundraising drive
is being planned for Tuesday, which is also Veterans’ Day.
Jim Martin is a veteran, but Saxby Chambliss (who impugned Max Cleland’s patriotism) got something like five deferments. Typical chicken-hawk Republican.
