I hope she keeps this up. I know some Independents who won’t like the sound of this at all. No matter how much of a celebrity she has become, this kind of philosophy from her is a more powerful turn-off than anything I can say about her.
my concern is
that because the average American also knows little about foreign policy or the Bush doctrine, this kind of thing won’t seem like a big deal.
It’s pathetic, though, when you think about it. It’s not as if he even grilled her about her record in Alaska. She couldn’t handle a basic softball interview.
People
are so infuriatingly fickle. Facts seem to matter so little anymore, if ever they did. The people that Palin energizes believe in her. They’ll puff up and bluster at the thought of going to war with Russia.
My God, how reckless. As Keith Olbermann said, “how can we continue to rattle our sabers when all our sabers are busy?” And, if I were going to pick an enemy, it would NOT be Russia.
I don’t normally like Mr. Olbermann’s incendiary commentary, but I thought that line was funny (in a sad kind of way).
Her Answers
She looked more like a high school student who stayed up the night before cramming for a test. She only knew the answers her programmers trained her to say. But with the people thinking this is American Idol I am affraid this might work.
Obama needs to ignore her. Go on the attack after McCain and make Bushs third term the issue.
I agree with you
but for whatever reason, people don’t seem to be accepting the “McCain is more of the same” argument. McCain keeps talking about change and reform, and lying repeatedly, and getting away with it.
You are so right about Palin. She did seem like a student who had been cramming, or who was trying to bullshit through a college interview.
