Perfect so far!

Its almost 3 oclock and I am still perfect in the NCAA tournament! Thought I'd post this before that changed:)

Anyways, on to more important things, how many people are attending the peace rally in Ames on Monday (I believe its monday). It would be nice to put faces with the blog names and network with other progressive democrats.

  • I forgot to enter my bracket

    in the MyDD competition in time. But I did write out my picks. I have Drake losing in the second round to UConn. My final four teams are Tennessee, Kansas, Stanford and UCLA, with Kansas beating UCLA in the final game.

    Who did you pick?

    I got Drake going to the great 8 and have Memphis, North Carolina, Xavier and Wisconsin in the Final Four with Xavier winning it all. I dont know about that now, judging by there performance against Georgia, but who knows.

    • wow, you like to pick upsets!

      I don’t pick that many upsets, but here are my hard and fast rules:

      I never pick Duke to get to the Final Four. I figure everyone else in the pool will.

      I never pick more than two number 1 seeds to get to the final four. Many years I only pick one number 1 seed to get there. I like to pick one 2 seed and at least one 3 or 4 seed to get there.

      I am afraid to “vote with my heart” when it comes to the NCAA. That’s why I didn’t have the guts to pick Drake to beat UConn.

      But I think I’ve only won one NCAA pool in my life, and finished second or third one other time, so I wouldn’t call myself a big expert.

  • I like to pick a few upsets

    Thats the fun of it, if you dont pick upsets than everyones bracket is the same, I picked George Mason to get to the Great Eight the year they made it to the final four, so I picked em again this year, doesnt look like a smart idea though…Kentucky sure wasnt

  • not doing well this year so far

    I only picked 20 out of the 32 first-round games correctly. Not one of my better performances. Some of those were upsets probably everyone got wrong, but others will set me back in the pool I’m in.

    All of my final eight teams are still in, so it may be salvageable, but I am not too hopeful.

    Never pick Duke to get to the Final Four!

    • Yeah

      Drake was a bust. I got 6 Elite 8 teams left (with Drake and Clemson making the early exit) It is pretty well scraped this year. If Xavier keeps playing well, I might not do too bad though
