[Betsy at BlueNC helms the update again this week…]
This week we bring you double the pleasure in our 50 State Blog Roundup. Real life threw me a curve ball last week and I wasn't able to follow through with the roundup. My apologies. You will find last week's roundup tagging along at the end. Without further delay, here's what's going on locally at our state community blogs:
Minnesota
Tim Walz — first-term congressman and Democratic National Convention superdelegate — endorsed Barack Obama's presidential bid this week.
Iowa
desmoinesdem discusses the dispute between Iowa's governor and secretary of state (both Democrats) over the best fix for paperless voting machines.
Louisiana
The Primaries are coming to Louisiana… and Daily Kingfish is torn between the two candidates remaining. Although Daily Kingfish is undecided, Ryan is sick of the all spin being put on the Louisiana internets about how Hillary hasn't released a plan to deal with the Gulf Region. Locally, Governor PBJ's Ethics Plan has some serious holes, and is facing criticism from the Ethics Board themselves!
{much more under the fold!}
Oregon
Senate candidate Steve Novick's “Beer With Steve” ad from Eichenbaum and Associates went viral, even making earned media on Fox…!
Maryland
At Free State Politics, we cut through Al Wynn's attempt to smear Donna Edwards on the National Harbor development.
New Mexico
There still aren't results for New Mexico's Democratic Presidential caucuses on Super Tuesday. See why.
Virginia
Raising Kaine endorses Barack Obama for President
Kentucky
Yellow Dog calls out Chuck Schumer for supporting a millionaire DINO against McConnell. And McConnell is still whining in his fund raising letters about the KY liberal blogosphere kicking his ass.
Alabama
Super Tuesday winners and losers after Alabama votes Obama!
Georgia
Dale Cardwell is a Democratic candidate for the Senate in Georgia. He probably belongs in the Republican Party, more proof here and here.
Arizona
At AZ Netroots they have an update on Bob Lord's fundraising. Lord plans to retire John Shadegg.
California
The Courage campaign is dealing with Double Bubble Trouble in LA County.
North Carolina
BlueNC is planning its first BlueNC Barbecue Bash before the May primaries. Should be a heckuva party.
Connecticut
Poetic justice. Joe Lieberman will not be a super delegate.
Texas
Everything you need to know about the Texas Delegate Process, Part I and Congressional candidate Marshall Adame continues to receive veiled threats from Blackwater employees and associate organizations and Mother Jones takes notice. Adame is working to retire Walter “Freedom Fries” Jones in November.
Utah
The big bad internet comes to Utah.
Iowa
desmoinesdem reports that Iowa Republicans are downbeat about their 2008 election prospects.
New Mexico
A candidate for Congress says, “Real change can't just be another hollow slogan” and shows how he will be a leader on important issues once elected to Congress.
Minnesota
Check out highlights from what turned out to be John Edwards' final public appearance as a 2008 presidential candidate in St. Paul on Tuesday.
Texas
The Republican Minority leadership is coming to Texas to help prop up their most vulnerable incumbent, Mike McCaul, in TX-10.
Alabama
Fueled by increased support among black voters, Barack Obama has moved ahead of Hillary Clinton in the latest Alabama poll.
Maryland
For the first time ever, the Maryland presidential primary might actually matter.
West Virginia
Read what traditional media won't print: writer Heath Harrison has an exclusive interview with Air America's Mike Papatonio. There were major suprises in WV-02 race this week. Long-time Sen. Byrd aide Anne Barth is now the leading Democratic candidate to unseat vulnerable Republican Rep. Shelley Moore Capito.
New Jersey
Blue Jersey takes a whack at an influential state newspaper's shameless water-carrying for state Republicans.
Georgia
Georgia Democrats had a JJ Dinner on Wednesday. Hillary was there, and Tondee's Tavern has several interviews with Georgia leaders, including news that a Republican might switch parties in the State House.
Oregon
Steve Novick Kills on Fox News–Yes, THAT Fox…
Virginia
GOP Delegates Boo High School Students on Field Trip
South Dakota
McCain-Thune vs. Obama-Daschle?
