For a guy who is running for President of the United States, former Governor Tom Vilsack sure is picking up a lot of new jobs.

According to the Des Moines Register, he is joining MidAmerican Energy as a consultant.

This announcement comes just days after Vilsack accepted a different job offer as a visiting law school professor at Drake University in Des Moines.

So, what’s the story here?  Is Vilsack trying to raise himself some more money to keep the lights on at his headquarters?  Is he trying to make headlines?  Is he weaving a safety net in case things don’t go as planned?  Or is this normal?
